The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who arrived in China this morning (Friday) at the head of a political delegation at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, met with Wang Yi, a member of the Chinese State Council and Foreign Minister.
The foreign ministers of the two countries are scheduled to discuss bilateral relations, regional and international developments, as well as the Iran-China Comprehensive Cooperation Program (25-year plan).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, has previously stated in a statement about the agenda of his talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China:
We are in the 50th anniversary of Iran-China diplomatic relations.
He noted that in the past four months, there have been more than seven contacts and meetings between the Chinese Foreign Minister and myself, and at the level of presidents, contacts and communications are very smooth, he noted:
This shows the importance and growth and development of relations between the two countries, and in the new government, we are facing more acceleration of relations.
The Foreign Minister stated:
In bilateral relations, we have good coordination and diversity in various issues, and in the interests of both parties, we have made great progress in various issues.
He stated:
Strategic issues are on the agenda of the two countries, and these issues have created a new literature in the correspondence between the presidents of the two countries.
