Saudi Energy Minister Abdul Azir bin Salman referred to the country's uranium reserves at a mining conference in Riyadh on Wednesday.
According to Russia Today, he said:
We are looking to develop our nuclear program and I will be really clear on this. We have a lot of uranium and we have to exploit it. We will get help from partners to exploit these resources and develop it with the highest degree of transparency, and we will reach a commercial aspect to make full use of it.
In July of 2021, Kazem Gharibabadi, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), tweeted today (Thursday) in response to false statements made by the Saudi's representative in Vienna Nuclear of Iran, wrote:
In the case of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the International Atomic Energy Agency does not have the minimum authority to verify.
He added:
Any breach of safeguards will allow the kingdom to hide certain of its specific nuclear activities by keeping them out of IAEA inspections.
