North Korean state media reported Wednesday morning that for the first time in two years, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended and supervised a missile test.
North Korean state media (KCNA) reported that Kim called for the strengthening of the country's strategic military force after watching the new missile test.
According to Reuters, quoting the report, Kim called on North Korean military scientists to "accelerate efforts to continuously strengthen the country's strategic military capability in terms of quantity and quality and further modernize the army."
This is the first time since March 2020 that the North Korean leader has officially participated in a missile test.
On Wednesday morning, North Korean state media reported that in its latest launch, a supersonic missile had been successfully tested and hit its target accurately after 1,000 kilometers.
