State Department spokesman Ned Price addressed a news conference Wednesday morning to answer reporters' questions on a variety of issues.
Asked about the process of negotiations on lifting sanctions on Iran with the P4+1 group in Vienna and what the situation is, Price said:
There has been little progress in the Vienna talks on a nuclear deal with Iran.
He explained:
I do not have any specific new information. This round [of negotiations] continues. We are talking about the little progress we have seen in recent days. If we want to be in a position to save JCPOA and ensure unprofessional scoring, this progress must be greater than it is now.
It was early Tuesday morning that Russia's representative to the Vienna talks, Mikhail Ulyanov, said that representatives of the JCPOA member states had met with the US representative without Iran to review the texts.
