Shiite groups in the Coordination Framework in Iraq called on Shiite members of parliament and the Sadr faction to form a larger faction together.
According to Mawazin News, the committee's statement reads:
The Coordination Framework stressed its commitment to legal and constitutional frameworks at its sixty-sixth session on Friday, addressing the issue of the larger faction and the first session of parliament.
The statement emphasized:
We call on all the representatives of the largest social group in Iraq, and especially the brothers of the Sadr faction, to protect the stability of the political process in Iraq by forming a larger faction.
The Coordinating Committee concluded by thanking all Iraqi national groups for supporting the understanding between the political groups and for not participating in the critical process.
