Thursday, 6 January 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 1,579 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Thursday that 1,579 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 269 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 1,579 COVID-19 infections and 24 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 6,203,046.”
“24 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 131,802,” the ministry added.
“2,209 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 6,047,528 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
“42,577,332 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country,” the ministry added.
