Thursday, 6 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Health Ministry released a statement and announced that the total amount of vaccine injected in the country hit 121.4 million.
In a statement, Iranian Health Ministry announced that the total number of vaccines injected to Iranian people has reached to 121,419,376.
“59,992,876 Iranians have received the first dose, 52,344,829 people the second dose and 9,81,671 people the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or the booster,” the statement reads.
It is also announced that “448,132 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been injected on Tuesday,” while noting that the daily infection rate has decreased sharply recently because of vaccination rate.
In the past 24 hours, 1,579 new cases were detected in the country which brings the total number of confirmed cases to 6,203,046.
