Judiciary Spox.: 127 Persons Involved in Assassination of General Soleimani to be Persecuted

Wednesday, 5 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Judiciary Spokesman announced that 127 suspects are on the list of Judiciary to be prosecuted because of their relation with the assassination of general Soleimani.

Judiciary Spox.: 127 Persons Involved in Assassination of General Soleimani to be PersecutedIranian Judiciary Spokesman Zabihollah Khodayian announced that 127 suspects are on the list of Judiciary to be prosecuted because of their relation with the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.

“11 letters of request had been sent to 9 countries from Iran to ask for measures against the 127 culprits,” he noted while referring to the memorandum of understanding signed by Iran and Iraq in this regard.

He went on to say that “Iran hopes that the assassination of General Soleimani will be followed up on more seriously internationally with cooperation from the vice president for legal affairs and the department for international affairs of the Judiciary.”

Prior to this and while speaking about the latest status of perusing the case of General Ghasem Soleimani's assassination, the secretary of the Iranian Judiciary's Human Rights Council Kazem Gharibabadi said this terrorist act is a crime against humanity.

Alson before that, in a letter to UN high commissioner for human rights Michelle Bachelet Jeria, Kazzem Gharibabadi criticized a number of countries for their adoption of a political approach towards terrorist groups.

He also called on the UN body to condemn the martyrdom of Iranian police personnel by terrorist groups.
