The first literary event entitled "Negin Soleimani" with the presence of poets, writers and cultural figures of Iran and Afghanistan was held at the Consulate General of Iran in Herat on the occasion of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Sardar Haj Qasem Soleimani.
Mohammad Sedighifar, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Herat, said at the opening ceremony of this literary circle:
Islamism has different dimensions of art and our poets are the pioneers of Islamic art who must fulfill their mission in order to propagate and publish the martyrs of Islam.
He added:
Thanks to the name of Martyr Soleimani, this conference will be a prelude to more communication between Afghan and Iranian poets.
"Mohammad Davood Munir", a writer, university professor and a prominent member of the Literary Association in Herat, also said at the meeting:
Governments change throughout history, but the culture and civilization of a country will always be stable, and the rich culture and literature of Afghanistan will always be stable in this country.
He clarified:
Our mission is to protect our culture from attacks.
Munir continued:
Unlike the previous government, the Taliban government has promised to work for the dynamism of the culture of the Afghan people, and this has provided a good opportunity for educators to work to expand relations with civilized countries, including Iran.
He emphasized:
We expect our Iranian friends to support the 91-year-old Herat Literary Association and work for its growth.
In the continuation of this conference, some Iranian and Afghan poets recited their poems describing the martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani.
