Monday, 3 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian President said the country will fully support Armenia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
In his remarks during a phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Iranian President, Ebrahim Raeisi said that Iran will fully support Armenia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“Development of economic exchanges and cooperation between Tehran and Yerevan,” were among issues that were discussed in this phone talk.
“Iran’s policy is to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of countries,” Iranian President noted while adding that “therefore, we will support the sovereignty of Armenia over all its territories and means of transportation passing through the country.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, President Raesi congratulated New Year and the birthday anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and noted that “Continuation of interaction and dialogue between the two countries at different levels is a must.”
“To discuss regional and bilateral issues on a regular basis is vital as we witness the current situation in the Caucasus region,” he said.
For his part, Pashinyan said his country is ready to expand multilateral relations with Iran and noted “increasing economic relations and interactions with Iran in all fields is our priority.”
