Tuesday, 4 January 2022 (YJC)_ The Supreme Adviser to the Supreme Leader said: "The new geopolitical flagship of the region is in the hands of the forces of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Awakening movements and the Resistance Front led by the Imams of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran."
The specialized conference of the Resistance Front and the Neighbors of the Islamic Republic, hosted by the Holy Defense Science and Education Research Institute, was held on January 4 at the University of Defense.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sadollah Zarei, head of the Research Institute of the Resistance Front, welcomed the meeting and described it as a pre-meeting for the first national conference of Iran and its neighbors.
In this meeting, Major General Rahim Safavi, Supreme Adviser to the Supreme Leader and Director of the Institute for Defense Education Sciences and Education, in a speech entitled "Geopolitics of Resistance and Neighborhood Policy" explained the concept of resistance, dimensions of power and the axis of resistance at the international level.
At the beginning of his speech, General Safavi stated:
Regional and international relations and neighborhood policy are contextual and subject to macro-geopolitical processes. What has prevailed in the political and scientific circles of the world in the contemporary history of the last 200 years in the field of strategic thought and action has been the geopolitical and strategic reading and narrative of the West of the world and its regions; We must overthrow a new plan and design and rely on our "indigenous and Islamic geopolitical theory." We should not repeat their words anymore; Rather, we must speak and they must listen!
The High Advisor to the Supreme Leader also added:
The theoretical framework and geopolitical and strategic thought of me is derived from the thought, thought and experience of the Islamic Revolution. In the present century, a new pole of power, called the "power pole of the Islamic world", is gradually emerging; This power pole will be formed as a "geopolitical, geostrategic, geoeconomic and geocultural structure" to compete and resist the powers of the West and the East. The nature of this power is cultural, civilizational, economic and demographic.
Safavi further defined the geopolitics of resistance as follows:
Changing the structure and processes of human and cultural (religious), economic and military processes of the Islamic Ummah, to gain freedom and independence and the formation of power in the Islamic world in competition with the dominating powers of the West and East at various levels (national, regional and global).
According to General Safavi, the banner of this new geopolitics is in the hands of the forces of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Awakening movements and the Resistance Front led by the Imams of the Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
