In his remarks during his weekly press conference, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the joint text reached in Vienna talks is showing that West realized that it must dop its maximum demands and be realistic.
“West has realized that it must back down from its maximum demands and be realistic which is obvious in the joint text reached in Vienna talks today. They figured out that they cannot go beyond the agreement,” he said.
He also referred to the 8th round of Vienna talks that have resumed on Monday and noted “Bilateral and multilateral talks will begin this afternoon.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, he referred to the anniversary of General Soleimani and noted that perpetrators of Martyr Soleimani’s assassination will be brought to justice.”
Khatibzadeh also said that the policy of Iran is toward formation of an all-inclusive government in Afghanistan and noted “An inclusive government that brings together the ethnic and demographic diversity of Afghanistan is the main issue of Iran. We have tried to do our best for Afghans and we have always talked about the way to assist and facilitate humanitarian access to Afghanistan.”
