Monday, 3 January 2022 (YJC)_ The meeting on strategies for developing economic relations with Turkey was chaired by the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and staff members.
The meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Coordination Headquarters on "Strategies for the Development of Economic Relations with Turkey" was chaired by Mehdi Safari, Deputy Minister of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was attended by members of the headquarters, composed of economic deputies.
During the meeting, the Director General of Mediterranean and Eastern Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke about the importance of developing relations with Turkey and asked the relevant authorities to submit their proposals on improving economic relations with Turkey and resolving the challenges ahead.
The meeting focused on financial issues in Iran-Turkey relations and the problems and challenges related to the financial field and how to resolve them, as well as the expansion of trade relations between the two countries.
Also in this meeting, the issue of energy, electricity and financial problems and differences in this regard as well as joint projects between Iran and Turkey were discussed and evaluated.
At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy discussed the issues of agriculture, standards and updating of Tehran-Ankara agreements and memoranda in this field and the export of new technologies, including the production of medical equipment, especially in the field of "nano" and "bio" products He enumerated the important issues raised in this meeting.
The meeting also discussed the development of a comprehensive program of cooperation between Iran and Turkey and the preferential trade agreement and trade balance between the two countries.
