Sunday, 2 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Judiciary Deputy Chief criticized a number of countries for their adoption of a political approach towards terrorist groups.
In a letter to UN high commissioner for human rights Michelle Bachelet Jeria, Iranian Judiciary Deputy Chief and Secretary-General of Iran's Human Rights Headquarters Kazzem Gharibabadi criticized a number of countries for their adoption of a political approach towards terrorist groups.
“Some countries are pursuing a selective and political approach to terrorist groups,” he noted while adding that “Iran's measures have been acknowledged by international circles, but it has not received cooperation and support from other countries.”
He went on to add that “40 Iranian police forces have lost their lives from March 21 to December 3, 2021 in the fight against smugglers, Iran has a good reputation and a principled policy on the fight against all types of trafficking.”
Ghariabadi also noted that “Iran's national will in the continuation of such a humanitarian policy has imposed heavy financial and human costs,” and also said that “The martyrdom of more than 3,800 individuals and the injury of more than 12,000 personnel of Iranian forces confirms this.”
He finally called on the UN body to condemn the martyrdom of Iranian police personnel by terrorist groups.
