A new round of severe storms in the state of Kentucky, which US officials have warned of, could turn into tornadoes on Saturday in the state and other southeastern parts of the region, causing significant damage.
Fox News reported:
Several hurricanes warning of their turning into tornadoes hit areas in Kentucky that had previously been damaged by tornadoes on December 10 and 11, leaving more than 100 injured and more than 80 dead at the time.
In the Bolinggreen area, a storm damaged a store, where infrastructure damage was seen. Bowling Green officials said strong winds had knocked down trees and damaged parts of the city.
According to the report, Haysville, a small town in Kentucky, was also experiencing severe weather conditions, and satellite images show extensive damage to power lines and buildings in the area.
Several homes and buildings in Campbosville were also damaged. This prompted Kentucky Governor Andy Bashier to declare a state of emergency in parts of the state after the storm.
