Saturday, 1 January 2022 (YJC)_ Foreign Ministry Spokesman announced that nine missing Iranian nationals will enter the country today.

Khatibzadeh: Nine Missing Iranian Nationals to Enter Iran from TurkeyDuring his remarks on Saturday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh announced that nine missing Iranian nationals will enter the country today.

“Following the pursuit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iranian embassies in Turkey and Syria and embassies of these two countries in Tehran, nine missing Iranian nationals will enter the country today through the Razi-Kapiköy border crossing,” he announced.

He went on to say that “Iranian ambassadors to Turkey and Syria and also embassies of Turkey and Syria to Iran worked together in order to help these people return to the country.”

Prior to this, in September, media broke the news nine Iranian nationals have been detained by Turkish police and handed over to terrorist groups in northern Syria.

They traveled to Turkey with to seek asylum but being detained by the Turkish government, they identified themselves as "Syrian Kurds" and the Turkish government handed them over to the terrorist groups in Syria.
