The Criminal Investigation Department of Saada Governorate (northern Yemen) has released the official statistics on the number of martyrs and wounded in 2021 in the border areas of the province that have been targeted by the Saudi army.
According to Yemen's Al-Thawra report, the Saada Provincial Criminal Investigation Department said 283 people were martyred and 1,200 were injured in Saada border areas this year.
Eighty-five percent of the martyrs and wounded were Yemeni nationals and 15 percent were Ethiopians, Sudanese, Somalis and Pakistanis.
According to the report, 27 women were martyred and wounded as a result of these shootings, some of whom were seriously injured.
The Saada Criminal Investigation Office further stated that the mentioned crimes have doubled in 2021 and the number of martyrs and wounded in 2020 was 695 people.
