Saturday, 1 January 2022 (YJC)_ According to official figures from the Criminal Investigation Department of Saada Governorate in northern Yemen, 1,400 Yemenis have been killed or wounded in the past year alone, following the shooting of Saudis in the border areas of the province.

According to Yemen's Al-Thawra report, the Saada Provincial Criminal Investigation Department said 283 people were martyred and 1,200 were injured in Saada border areas this year.

Eighty-five percent of the martyrs and wounded were Yemeni nationals and 15 percent were Ethiopians, Sudanese, Somalis and Pakistanis.

According to the report, 27 women were martyred and wounded as a result of these shootings, some of whom were seriously injured.

The Saada Criminal Investigation Office further stated that the mentioned crimes have doubled in 2021 and the number of martyrs and wounded in 2020 was 695 people.
