Indian media reported a deadly incident during a religious ceremony in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Mata Vishnu Demi Bavan Temple in Jammu and Kashmir, India, hosted a special New Year's Eve ceremony on Saturday (today), but it turned out to be deadly.
According to NDTV, local officials in India said the crowd caused a fatal accident following a large crowd at the temple trying to pay their respects to the New Year's opening ceremony.
According to the report, at least 12 people were killed and 14 others in the temple were injured as a result of the crowd.
It is said that this incident took place outside the temple and the reason was a dispute between the pilgrims.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted by offering his condolences to the families of the victims on the first day of 2022.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of life due to the overcrowding in Mata Vishnu. Condolences to the bereaved families. Hoping to heal the injured as soon as possible.
