Thursday, 30 December 2021 (YJC)_ The ambassador of the Islamic Republic visited the National Library of Tajikistan in "Dushanbe" and discussed ways to develop cooperation with the National Library of Iran.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Taghi Saberi, visited the National Library of Tajikistan and discussed with its director, Juma Khan Faizali, the development of cooperation between the national libraries of the two countries, both in terms of culture and language.
While visiting the National Library of Tajikistan, the Iranian Ambassador first visited the "Historical Illustrated", "Book House Works", "Newly Published Books" and "Books of the Islamic Republic of Iran" halls.
Then, in this meeting, the common history of the two countries, language, culture and existing fields for the development of scientific and cultural relations and the expansion of interactions and cooperation between the national libraries of Iran and Tajikistan were discussed.
Saberi noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran was the first country to recognize Tajikistan's independence and inaugurated the first embassy in Dushanbe, indicating that Tehran paid special attention to the development of relations with Tajikistan's friend and brother country.
The Ambassador of Iran and the Director of the National Library of Tajikistan exchanged views on strengthening relations in the field of culture and signing a memorandum of cooperation between the National Library of Tajikistan and the National Library and Archives of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the end of the meeting, the Iranian ambassador in Dushanbe presented two books to the National Library of Tajikistan.
