Thursday, 30 December 2021 (YJC)_ Al-Nujaba spokesman said: Martyr al-Nimr’s blood protects the demand for the reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi’/Saudi regime seeks to create a margin of security for Israel

Spokesman of al-Nujaba: Martyr al-Nimr’s blood protects the demand for the reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi’Emphasizing that the martyrdom of Ayatollah al-Nimr protected the reconstruction of the shrines of the Imams in Jannat al-Baqi’ cemetery as a major demand, al-Shammari said, “By spreading anti-Shi’ism, the House of Saud sought to create a margin of security for the Zionist enemy.”

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, speaking at the webinar “The al-Nimr Revolution: Motivations and Objectives” held on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of the revolutionary scholar Ayatollah Nimr Baqir al-Nimr, Nasr al-Shammari, the spokesman of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement, described the insight of that martyr as being taken from the teachings of the Husayni school of thought and as recalling the positions of Imam Khomeini and the al-Sadr martyrs.

al-Shammari praised Ayatollah al-Nimr’s courage against Saudi Arabia’s severe repression due to the reliance of the House of Saud on the United States and the Zionist regime and continued, “His positions were very similar to those of the martyred Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad-Sadiq al-Sadr at the end of the Ba’athist regime. We met with him and he was well aware that confronting the Ba’athist regime would lead to his martyrdom. However, despite the Ba’athist policy of repairing relations with the Arabs, he announced that the shrines of the Ahl al-Bayt in Jannat al-Baqi’ cemetery must be rebuilt.”

While emphasizing that the insistence of the martyrs al-Sadr and al-Nimr caused the rebuilding of the holy shrines of the Imams of Jannat al-Baqi’ to remain as one of the main demands, he noted, “The perseverance of these great personalities who gave their lives to fulfill their religious duties allowed new blood to flow in the veins of the Islamic ummah, especially the followers of the school of thought of the Ahl al-Bayt.”

Referring to the history of Baghdad-Riyadh relations in the period before and after the occupation of Iraq, the spokesman of al-Nujaba said, “With the rise of the Shi’ah movement in Iraq, the Saudi government took a hostile stance towards us. Everyone knows the volume of Takfiri fatwas and the statistics of sending terrorists and the bombings, suicide attacks and killings carried out by the Saudi regime in our country.”

al-Shammari continued, “During the administration of [Haydar] al-Abadi, there were signs of repairing relations; Therefore, Baghdad mediated to at least delay the execution of Martyr al-Nimr, but Riyadh did not pay attention to this mediation. The Saudis also ignored the request of the Iraqi Sunni Dar al-Ifta. Of course, everyone knows that this extremist regime, which implements the policies of Washington and London in order to divide the region and ultimately create a margin of security for Israel, wants to cut off the hypothetical enemy Shi’ahs instead of the Zionists.”

He noted that in 2006, groups representing Iraqi Shi’ahs and the marja’iyyah (religious authorities) negotiated with the Saudi government to rebuild the tombs of the Imams or at least obtain permission for Iraqi and other Shi’ah pilgrims; But the Saudi regime did not heed to their demands.

Noting that the news of the execution of the martyr Ayatollah Nimr Baqir al-Nimr provoked the grief and anger of the Iraqi people and led to large-scale demonstrations and mourning ceremonies, the deputy secretary-general added, “There is no city in central and southern Iraq where no mourning ceremony was held for Martyr al-Nimr. At that time, the Popular Mobilization Forces, which were fighting Daesh, produced a missile and named it after the martyr because Daesh followed the same method as the killers of Ayatollah al-Nimr.”

Criticizing the extremist view of Saudi Arabia, which carries the internal opposition to the razor blade and excommunicates most Muslims, Al-Shammari asked:
You see; It has never happened before that a pilgrim in Iraq, Iran or Syria, for example, bombs himself and kills others. Religious occasions are a motivator for emotional behaviors. What threat did the demand of Martyr Al-Nimr really pose to them?

In this conference, he considered the freedom of religious rites as the least recognized right and added:
In advanced societies, human beings adhere to their religious, cultural, and historical principles and uphold values; But I do not know what is the problem in the Arab and Islamic countries, which destroy their religious beliefs and socio-cultural heritage in order to prove their progress !?
