Wednesday, 29 December 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 1,905 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Wednesday that 1,905 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 348 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 1,905 COVID-19 infections and 52 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 6,190,762.”
“53 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 131,527,” the ministry added.
“2,732 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 6,032,615 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
41,791,485 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country,” the ministry added.
According to the latest figures, more than 283,836,236 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 5,434,926 and recoveries amounting to 252,184,164.
