Wednesday, 29 December 2021 (YJC)_ The Secretary General of the Islamic Awakening Association said: Martyr Soleimani, with his incredible and indescribable actions, was undoubtedly one of the historians of Islam and Iran.
Ali Akbar Velayati, Advisor to the Supreme Leader on International Affairs, said this morning at the scientific-research conference "Haj Qasem School, University and Media" held at the Azad University, Central Tehran Branch:
Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani was in the context of the Islamic awakening created by Imam Khomeini, the great awakening of our time, and with his incredible and indescribable actions, he was undoubtedly one of the historians of Islam and Iran.
Referring to the honor of accompanying the martyr for several years in the field of Islamic awakening and holding various meetings, Velayati called him an example of the noble verse of Surah Saba, which says, "Stand up for God in pairs and alone." And added:
He should be considered as an example of a mystic and one of the nobles of Iran and the region, who was raised in the school of Islam and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and was subject to the command of the Mawlawi. When Sardar Soleimani emphasizes that "we are the nation of Imam Hussein", that is, what he did was during the Husseini movement, and if it were not for the movement of Imam Hussein (AS), there would be nothing left of Islam.
He clarified:
In our time, Imam Khomeini became the torchbearer of the Islamic awakening and said that they are beating America in the mouth, trampling on America, and this means that the United States, as a symbol of the arrogant world that was exploiting Islamic countries, has no place in the region. The great cryer of our time had followers like Haj Qassem Soleimani who entered the field and with their efforts and ultimately their martyrdom were able to save the region, which in political geography is called the heart of the Islamic world, from foreign elements such as ISIS and foreign extremists.
Velayati clarified that some of the extremists were Kharijites of our time:
Imam Ali (AS) said that only I could catch the eye of sedition and no one was an opponent of the Kharijites except me. Among the followers of the Amir al-Mo'menin (AS), in our time, people like Imam Khomeini held the flag, and companions such as Haj Qasim Soleimani, revived and reminded the names of the companions of Ali (AS) such as Meysam Tamar, Kamil and Ammar. Imam Khomeini, as the son of Rashid Amir al-Momenin (AS), revived our time, and people like Haj Qasim Soleimani established the Islamic movement in the region, and the Americans were defeated, and this defeat will continue until Islam rises again.
Velayati noted in the end:
We cherish the memory of Martyr Soleimani. We are indebted to Hajj Qasim as one of the gentlemen and elders of the present age who helped Imam Khomeini and his righteous successor Imam Khamenei in the region and the Islamic world, and we hope to be able to fulfill part of the right that he owes us.
