Tuesday, 28 December 2021 (YJC)_ Leading American theorist and linguist comparing China's global approaches to those of the United States on issues such as the JCPOA said China will never act like Europe.

Noam Chomsky: The Europeans are not willing to put up with American anger over the JCPOALeading American theorist and linguist recently said in an interview comparing China's global approaches with European countries with the United States on issues such as the JCPOA that China will never act like Europe.

"Noam Chomsky" said in an interview with an American website:
China is not like Europe. European countries may get angry when the United States decides to rescind a joint agreement with Iran (JCPOA) and impose tough sanctions to punish Iran for canceling the agreement. They may even announce that they will find ways to avoid deadly US sanctions. But in the end, they go their own way with no plans and are unwilling to tolerate the godfather's anger or punitive measures, such as expulsion from the Washington-controlled international financial system. China is the same in many other cases.

Regarding the current developments in Afghanistan and China's role in that country, Chomsky said:
If Afghanistan can survive US sanctions, it could likely join the SCO in China, joining Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran and Central Asia. China may be able to shift Afghanistan's economy from exporting narcotics, in US-controlled times, to exploiting its significant mineral resources in China's favor. Despite intense US efforts to curb such economic influence, it is spreading to Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and even to Washington's backyard in Latin America.
