Ali Bagheri Kani, the chief negotiator of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived in the Austrian capital a few minutes ago at the head of a delegation to follow the eighth round of the Vienna talks with the aim of lifting the oppressive sanctions.
Bagheri is scheduled to leave for the Coburg Hotel in the next few hours for diplomatic consultations before the meeting of the Joint Commission on the JCPOA.
The meeting of the Joint Commission of the JCPOA will be held this afternoon at the level of the chairmen of the P4+1 negotiating delegations, the European Union and Iran. In the previous round, which was followed up twice, after nearly three weeks of talks and a long denial of the three European countries over Iran's reasonable demands, the negotiators agreed on a common text and the basis for the continuation of the talks, in which Iran's demands are included.
In this round, they are going to discuss the content of the texts and the roadmap for reviving the 2015 agreements. But the success of this round depends on tough political decisions, especially by the European parties, which did not play a very constructive role in the previous round.
