Sunday, 26 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iran's Special Representative for Afghanistan said that Tehran is committed to lasting stability and security in Afghanistan and is interested in peace and stability and an inclusive government with the participation of all directions in the country.
Mohammad Mohaqiq, a member of the leadership of the Supreme Council of National Resistance of Afghanistan, said in a meeting with Iran's special envoy to Afghanistan that the council was not in favor of violence and war and would be willing to hold constructive talks to resolve the country's disputes.
The special representative of Iran in this meeting said:
Tehran stands for lasting stability and security in Afghanistan and calls for a peaceful solution to the Afghan issue through negotiations between all political and ethnic parties in Afghanistan.
Qomi added:
Iran has friendly relations with all political factions in Afghanistan and is interested in mediating between all aspects of Afghanistan in order to establish peace and stability and an inclusive government with the participation of all directions.
At the end of his speech, the Special Representative of Iran said that security and stability in Afghanistan are in the interest of the whole world and the region.
Following the meeting, Mohammad Mohaqiq, leader of the Afghan People's Unity Party, thanked the Iranian government for its positive role in Afghanistan and the long-term reception of millions of Afghan refugees.
