Saturday, 25 December 2021 (YJC)_ In an interview with RIA Novosti, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated that Iran is capable of producing nuclear fuel and will soon use this fuel in the Bushehr power plant.
In an interview with Russia's RIA Novosti news agency, Mohammad Islami, vice president and head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, stated that the Islamic Republic is capable of producing nuclear fuel and is expected to use it at the Bushehr nuclear power plant in the near future.
Islami told RIA Novosti in this interview:
Iran is capable of producing nuclear fuel. We had talks with Russia Atom and we hope that within the framework of our interactions, based on the plans and agreements we conclude, we will be able to start using Iranian fuel in the Bushehr reactor.
He, who had previously spoken about financing the Bushehr power plant, stated in an interview that Iran had paid all of Russia's debts related to the Bushehr power plant and said:
Iran has paid all of Russia's debts for the nuclear power plant.
