Islami: Iran does not intend to enrich more than 60%In an interview with Russia's Sputnik news agency, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Islami, said Tehran did not intend to exceed 60 percent uranium enrichment.

"If the parties cannot return to the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan (JCPOA), will Iran go beyond 60 percent uranium enrichment," Islami said, according to the news agency.

He stressed that the goal of the Tehran nuclear program is to support the needs of the country's industrial production as well as the needs of Iranian consumers for special goods.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization added:
All our nuclear activities are carried out in accordance with the agreements, statutes and regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
