Saturday, 25 December 2021 (YJC)_ The President stated: Anyone who is ready to sacrifice his life for the homeland, the people and the security of society is dear and respected to the Iranian nation, that is why the martyrs are a source of pride for Iran and Iranians.
On Friday evening, on the eve of the birth of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and on the eve of the New Year, President Seyyed Ibrahim Raeisi congratulated the family of Martyr Vartan Aga Khan and congratulated the family of this martyr and all the followers of Jesus Christ:
The truth of the religion of Christ is no different from the truth of Islam. The Qur'an mentions excellent attributes for the Prophet Mary (pbuh) and Jesus (pbuh), and I hope that God Almighty will grant success to all Christians to follow the teachings of Jesus (pbuh).
Raeisi stated:
The message of the martyrs to those who are greedy for this country is that the people of Iran are always ready to defend their homeland with self-sacrifice if anyone invades this land and water, and in this way there is no difference between Muslim, Christian and Zoroastrian compatriots.
Iran is more valuable to Iranians than anything else, and these people are willing to sacrifice their lives for Iran.
Raeisi clarified:
The martyrs have a great right on all of us, and we owe the security and independence of our country to the martyrs today, and we should not neglect for a moment the defense and protection of the achievements of the martyrs.
The President added:
Anyone who is ready to sacrifice his life for the homeland, the people and the security of society is dear and respected to the Iranian nation, which is why the martyrs are the pride of Iran and Iranians. Just as the martyrs survive in the Hereafter, so must their memory and letter live on in this world.
