Friday, 24 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Minister said the Iranian delegation is ready to take part in the next round of talks with Saudi Arabia.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein in Tehran on Thursday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the Iranian delegation is ready to take part in the next round of talks with Saudi Arabia.
"a set of practical proposal was presented to Riyadh from Iran. Ig got positive feedback from the Saudi authorities, which paved the way for the next round of talks in Baghdad,” he said.
He went on to say that “Iran is ready to facilitate visits of technical delegations to make necessary preparations for the normalization of diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia,” while announcing that last week, Iran received Saudi government's approval on visas for three Iranian diplomats who will be based at the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.
Amir-Abdollahian also announced that “We will take part in the next round of Iran-Saudi talks in Baghdad,” while appreciating Iraqi government’s efforts to help resolve the misunderstandings and return Iran-Saudi Arabia relations to normal.
