Iranian Commanders: “Great Prophet 17" Held to Respond to Zionists' Rhetoric

Friday, 24 December 2021 (YJC)_ Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran said the recent drill held in response to the Zionists’ rhetoric.

Iranian Commanders: “Great Prophet 17In his remarks on the sidelines of the final stage of IRGC's massive joint military exercises in the south of the country in the Persian Gulf region, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Major General Bagheri said that the IRGC's Great Prophet 17 military drills held in response to the Zionists’ rhetoric.

“The drills are held to respond the recent empty threats of the Zionist regime,” he said while noting that “16 missiles, which were fired from different platforms, were able to hit a certain target accurately.”

He went on to call this drill as the small part of Iran’s missile capability.

In a separate remark on Friday, the commander-in-chief of the IRGC, Major General Hossein Salami, the exercise was a response to threats from Zionist regime.

“If the officials of this regime do a damn thing, we will cut off their hands,” he noted.

Also, the spokesman for drills Brigadier General Nilforoushan said “By conducting offensive electronic warfare operations against the enemy's defense systems, the IRGC Cyber-Electronic Organization succeeded in suppressing the hypothetical enemy air defense shield,” while announcing “different types of war (soft, semi-hard and hard) were practiced by the IRGC forces in the maneuvers.”
