Thursday, 23 December 2021 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 1,932 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Thursday that 1,932 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 311 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 1,932 COVID-19 infections and 43 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 6,179,817.”
“51 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 131,262,” the ministry added.
“2,807 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 6,019,343 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
41,183,363 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country,” the ministry added while announcing “no cities are rated red or orange, 53 cities are yellow, and 395 cities are blue.”
According to the latest figures, more than 278,085,905 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing at 5,398,444 and recoveries amounting to 249,063,375.
