Thursday, 23 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Judiciary Deputy Chief announced that Iran and Iraq have signed a joint statement on the investigation on the assassination of Martyr Soleimani.
Iranian Judiciary Deputy Chief and Secretary General of Iran's Human Rights Headquarters Kazzem Qaribabadi announced that Iran and Iraq have signed a joint statement on the investigation on the assassination of Martyr Soleimani.
“Iran and Iraq signed a joint statement during the second meeting of the Joint Committee formed on the investigation on the assassination case of anti-terror icons Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, and Iraqi Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis,” he said.
“The Iranian delegation gave their Iraqi counterpart documents and information related to the role and intervention of the American defendants and now the judiciary of the two countries would conduct additional investigations in that regard,” he added while noting that Tehran and Baghdad agreed to continue to exchange investigative documents and any information related to the US criminal move.
He previously announced the second round of negotiations on investigating martyr Soleimani’s assassination will be held in Tehran in coming days.
On January 3, 2020, in an attack ordered by then US President Donald Trump, General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and ten of their deputies were martyred by an armed drone strike as their convoy left Baghdad International Airport.
