Tuesday, 21 December 2021 (YJC)_IRGC commander of Navy forces said that all the weaponry used in Payambar-e Azam 17 drill are domestic.
On the sideline of the Payambar-e Azam 17 (The Great Prophet) drill of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy, Rear-Admiral Alireza Tangsiri announced that all the weaponry used in Payambar-e Azam 17 drill are domestic.
In the drill, the IRGC ground, naval, and air forces participated.
“All the weaponry and equipment used in the maneuvers were home-made,” he said while noting that “to practice and test the readiness of the armed forces to defend Iranian islands was the aim of the second day of the exercise.”
He went on to say that “We clearly manifested that we will destroy the enemy before approaching the islands. The speed of the speed-boats and missile launchers destroyers reach even 95 knots.”
“We will never allow a country to threaten Iran’s territorial waters,” he noted to point another goal of the drill while emphasizing the fact that peace and friendship to the friendly neighboring countries was the very aim of the exercise.
