Tuesday, 21 December 2021 (YJC)_ In Japan, three prisoners were sentenced to death at the same time, although their names have not been released.
According to CGTN, local Kyodo media quoted unnamed sources as saying that Japan executed three prisoners on death row at the same time on Tuesday.
This is the first time that a death sentence has been carried out in Japan since December 2019.
It is also the first execution during the presidency of Fumio Kishida, who recently took over as prime minister in Tokyo.
The death penalty still exists in Japan.
