Monday, 20 December 2021 (YJC)_ The Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy called it important to clean up with India and buy Iranian condensate for its raw materials.
The meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Coordination Headquarters was held on the topic of "Strategies for the Development of Economic Relations with India", chaired by Mehdi Safari, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, and attended by members of the staff, composed of economic deputies.
At the beginning of the meeting, Ali Chegni, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India, called Chabahar a great blessing for Iran and spoke about investments in the port of Chabahar and trade challenges with India.
In the continuation of this meeting, the participants from various executive bodies discussed the obstacles to trade with India and long-term strategies for cooperation and increasing trade with India.
At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy stressed the importance of clearing India and purchasing Iranian condensate for Indian pharmaceutical raw materials.
He also praised the growth of agricultural exports and said that the agreement on export tariffs to India was the reason for Iran's trade growth with this country.
Safari stressed the importance of building the Zahedan-Chabahar railway, completing the Iranian corridors, their impact on the national economy and its role in developing relations with India and other countries in the region.
He also called engineering services projects abroad, especially in India, paving the way for job creation and improving the economic situation of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
