Sunday, 19 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman dismissed the claim by E3 that Iran was the only side who wanted the short beak in Vienna talks.

FM Spox. Dismissed Eu’s Claim on the Break of Vienna TalksIn reaction to the recent claim made by E3 that Iran was the only side of nuclear talks who wanted a pause, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh dismissed it and described it as a collective decision.

“The time schedule is the result of a collective consensus and it has taken into account European parties’ New Year, this is what other partied in JCPOA talks are totally aware of,” Khatibzadeh said.

“This is not the first time we witness Western Parties rely on distorting realities and spreading disinformation,” he added while noting that such claims are “unrealistic”.

Khatibzadeh went on to call on E3 to show seriousness in the JCPOA talks instead of “useless blames.”

On Friday, senior European diplomats claimed that they were disappointed by Iran's decision to request a pause in the Vienna talks.

Currently, the Iranian official is in Vienna to attend negotiations on lifting sanctions against Iran.

Two weeks ago, it is announced that the 8th round of Vienna talks between Iran and P4+1 has started in Coburg Hotel.

“The removal of the sanctions imposed by the US on Iran after its unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal” is the main aim of the current talks.

Recently, Iran's top nuclear negotiator in Vienna talks Ali Bagheri Kani announced that discussions will be resumed after a few days’ break.
