Iranian President: West's Double Standards Undermine People's TrustIn his remarks during the meeting Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi said that that the double standards of the West undermine people's trust.

“There is a great potential for Iran and Hungary to develop relations and increase economic exchanges, we can bring the relations to a reasonable level through bilateral cooperation,” Iranian president said.

Referring to the relationship between Eastern European countries and Iran he said “We have a long-lasting and important relationship which can be more fruitful if Eastern European countries act independently.”

He went on to talk about the fight against terrorism, narcotics, and organized crime and said “Iran and Hungary have a really effective relationship.”

For his part, Szijjártó expressed satisfaction with the focus of the Iranian government on trade and economic relations and noted “We are working to improve the level of relations between Tehran and Budapest.”

Prior to this Szijjártó had a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, he also referred to that and said “According to a memorandum of understanding between Iran and Hungary, vaccines produced in both countries will be accepted.”
