A US-led coalition logistics convoy was hit by a roadside bomb this morning (Thursday) in the southern Iraqi province of Al-Diwaniyah.
According to Iraqi news sources, the blast did not cause any casualties. A group called the Khyber Brigade also claimed responsibility for the attack and said it would release images and video.
In recent months, convoys carrying logistics equipment for US troops stationed at various military bases in Iraq have been repeatedly targeted by roadside bombs.
The logistics convoys targeted in southern Iraq have entered Iraq mainly from the Kuwaiti border and are transporting equipment and data-x-items needed by US troops.
