Tuesday, 14 December 2021 (YJC)_ Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and Oman's Assistant to the Chief of Staff for Operations discussed the need to further expand defense and military cooperation between the two countries.
In a meeting with Oman's Assistant to the Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning Brigadier General Abdulaziz Abdullah al-Manthri, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri highlighted the need to further expand defense and military cooperation between the two countries.
During this meeting the two sides explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral relations in defense and military fields and exchanged views on enhancing bilateral relations and broadening cooperation in the military field.
“Promoting educational and military relations, countering terrorism, and establishing security in the region without the intervention of foreign forces” were among issues of discussion during the meeting.
In a relevant remark on the occasion of the Holy Defense Week (invasion of Iraq against Iran in 1980s) and The World Peace Day 2021, Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri addressed to the US soldiers and military personnel and asked them not to become soldiers of warmongering rulers.
Gen Bagheri then urged all forces to think a little about the realities and events these days in Yemen and hinted that it shouldn’t be believed that the hasty withdrawal from the main military base in Afghanistan was for the sake of peace.
