According to AFP, during a visit to Jakarta, senior government official Joe Biden called on Beijing to refrain from "aggressive actions" in the region.

Anthony Blinken has traveled to Indonesia for the first time of his tour of Southeast Asia, and is scheduled to travel to Malaysia and Thailand after Jakarta.

According to AFP, Blinken described the US approach to the "Indo-Pacific" (buffer zone between the Indian and Pacific Oceans) in a speech in Jakarta on Tuesday.
