Monday, 13 December 2021 (YJC)_ Secretary of Iranian Judiciary’s Human Rights Council announced that the country has imposed sanctions on 20 American individuals and entities.
In his recent statement, Secretary of Iranian Judiciary’s Human Rights Council Kazem Gharibabadi announced that the country has imposed sanctions on 20 American individuals and entities.
“The United States imposed sanctions on any entity and individual it could and then it turned to the issue of imposing sanctions on individuals and legal entities,” he said while noting that US sanctions were mostly imposed to the individuals in two categories: one is the ban on traveling to the United States and the other is freezing the property of individuals in that country.
“Genrally speaking those have been sanctioned by US administration do not travel to this country and do not have any fund there, so that these sanctions are symbolic,” he noted.
Iran has acted based on the law of “retaliation”, therefore, “We have put some US individuals and legal entities, including those engaged in the field of human rights, on the sanctions list.”
