Monday, 13 December 2021 (YJC)_ The Presidents of Iran and Turkmenistan emphasized the promotion of economic ties between two countries.
In a telephone conversation with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Iranian president, Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi put emphasis on the promotion of economic ties between two countries.
Raeisi thanked the country for hosting the 15th ECO Summit and said “Thus far we have good cooperation in the field of gas cooperation and executing the Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan gas swap through Iran.”
He went on to urge two countries to enhance the level of cooperation in transportation and transit of goods between the two countries and added “in order to strengthen the boarder ties good measures have been taken so far and some obstacles can be removed by continuing doing so.”
Iranian president also referred to the science and technology and noted that in his recent visit to Turkmenistan “We have donated Iranian medical and paramedical products in order to boost cooperation in the field of knowledge-based and medical sciences.”
For his part, Turkmen President stressed the importance of cooperation between neighbors, and noted that “With a thousand-year-old civilization, Iran-Turkmenistan ties should continue in the form of cooperation in international organizations."
