The official Jordanian news agency "Petra" announced today (Monday) the end of the security dialogue meeting between Iran and Saudi Arabia with the participation of experts from both sides in the Jordanian capital Amman.
The meeting was hosted by the Jordan-based Arab Institute for Security Studies, according to the report.
Petra added that the meeting focused on "reducing the threat of missiles and launch mechanisms, technical measures to build trust between the parties, especially on Iran's nuclear program, and cooperation on nuclear fuel and other areas."
"Mutual respect prevailed in the atmosphere of this meeting, which shows the desire of both sides to develop relations and strengthen regional stability," said Ayman Khalil, director of the institute.
He added that more meetings will be held between the parties soon in order to follow up on the recommendations made at the meeting and also to compile details.
The Arab Institute for Security Studies is one of the few centers in the West Asian region to work on weapons of mass destruction, nuclear non-proliferation, and nuclear security issues.
