Monday, 13 December 2021 (YJC)_ Russia's envoy to the Vienna talks criticized the misinterpretation of his remarks in an interview with reporters on Sunday.

Russia's envoy to Vienna reacted to a Russia's representative in the Vienna talks, Mikhail Ulyanov, took to his Twitter account to criticize his "misunderstanding" by reporters.

Some dissident media outlets claimed on Sunday that Iran had misinterpreted last week's talks.

Ulyanov wrote in a new tweet without naming any specific media:
Some diplomats refuse to be interviewed to be safe. And they are right. This evening, I was in a hurry, but at the request of reporters, I made statements that were misunderstood. Be aware that I assessed the situation in Iran positively, not negatively.

Earlier on Sunday morning, Ulyanov spoke about the atmosphere in the talks:
The Vienna talks are ongoing. A number of meetings have been scheduled for today in various formats. Many of the remaining issues are still on the agenda, but now, after last week's break, they are being well addressed in accordance with the norms and rules of multilateral diplomacy.
