Sunday, 12 December 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Parliament Speaker and his Algerian counterpart agreed to broaden cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting on the sidelines of the 16th Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) in Istanbul, Turkey, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and his Algerian counterpart Ibrahim Boughali agreed to broaden cooperation between the two countries.
They put emphasis on the establishment of parliamentary friendship groups and said they play effective role in the relations between the two countries.
“The current Algerian Parliament, which started its mission six months ago, has tried to establish parliamentary relations with Iran's parliament,” Iranian official said.
He went on to say that “Algeria sees Iran as a regional and global power and wants to find a solution to the Palestinian issue, which is one of the main crises in the Islamic world.”
“Many commonalities and political and religious relations exist between Iran and Algeria,” Ghalibaf said while announcing that Iran is ready to establish a parliamentary friendship group between the two countries.
