Sunday, 12 December 2021 (YJC)_ A well-informed Palestinian source announced the new proposal of the head of the Palestinian Authority to the United States, the Zionist regime and several Arab countries to immediately start reconciliation talks.

Mahmoud Abbas's new proposal to Washington and Tel Aviv on immediate demarcation of bordersA well-informed Palestinian source reported that Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, had proposed to the United States, Egypt, Jordan and other parties to start urgent "border demarcation" talks.

In an interview with Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, the source said that Abbas had suggested to these countries that the Palestinian and Israeli sides start urgent border demarcation talks, as achieving clear borders would pave the way for the two sides to reach a settlement on the final issues. .

The source said that Abbas would raise this proposal and other issues during a meeting with Israeli War Minister Bani Gantz, which is scheduled to take place next week in Ramallah.

He added that Abbas would tell Gantz that confidence-building measures and support for the Palestinian Authority would not be a substitute for political talks, and that he would inevitably take action if Israel did not enter the talks.

The Palestinian source stated that Abbas would say in a meeting with Gantz that if Israel insisted on avoiding political talks, it would not be possible for the situation to continue and that he would implement his remarks at the UN.

In a speech to the United Nations last September, Abbas stressed that he would give the Zionist regime a year to end the occupation, otherwise he would take action.
