Saturday, 11 December 2021 (YJC)_ A source close to Iran’s negotiating team in Vienna talks rejected the recent Reuters report about Iranian team accepting the texts of the previous rounds.
On Friday Reuters claimed from a European source that Iran was ready to work on the basis of earlier nuclear talks and was willing to continue the Vienna talks on the basis of texts prepared in June.
A source close to Iran’s negotiating team, rejected this claim, while noting that “In its talk with China, Iran announced that the text of the previous six rounds of the Vienna talks was respectable but because it was not agreed upon, it would be negotiable.”
This source also highlighted the fact that “Talks are progressing based on proposals Iran made last week.”
Also in a relevant message, referring to his meeting with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Linhart, Iranian top negotiator, Ali Bagheri Kani said false reports from outside the session cannot make Iran weak and the nuclear deal is alive because of Iran's responsible conduct.
He also added “Deal is alive because of Iran's responsible conduct. Dishonest reports from outside negotiating room won't weaken our will to reach a deal securing our nation's rights & interests.”
Currently, the Iranian official is in Vienna to attend negotiations on lifting sanctions against Iran.
On Thursday afternoon it is announced that the 8th round of Vienna talks between Iran and P4+1 has started in Coburg Hotel.
“The removal of the sanctions imposed by the US on Iran after its unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal” is the main aim of the current talks.
