Saturday, 11 December 2021 (YJC)_Iranian President referred to Vienna talks and said a good agreement will be reached if sanctions are removed.

Iranian President: If Sanctions Removed a Good deal is DefiniteIn his remarks in the meeting with heads of the missions of Iran in neighbouring countries, referring to the current JCPOA talks in Vienna, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi said reaching a good deal is achievable only if other parties remove sanctions.

“Enemies have this strategy to keep the sanctions and ours is to overcome the sanctions in two ways of neutralizing them and taking serious action to remove them, we are seeking both ways,” he said while noting that a good deal will be reached if the other side is determined to remove the sanctions.

Elsewhere in his remarks he said Iran’s ties with its neighbors should be stable and said “The interaction of the countries in the region can bring peace to the region. To us, having a good relationship with our neighbors is a strategy rather than a tactic.”

On Thursday afternoon it is announced that the 8th round of Vienna talks between Iran and P4+1 has started in Coburg Hotel.

“The removal of the sanctions imposed by the US on Iran after its unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal” is the main aim of the current talks.

After that session, in a phone talk with EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell, the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the Iranian negotiating team will stay in Vienna as long as they reach an agreement.

Also, in a message on his Twitter account a member of the Iranian negotiating team, Seyed Mohammad Marandi, rejected the claim that the country revised its negotiating stance at the last session to save the Vienna talks.
