Friday, 10 December 2021 (YJC)_ The top Russian diplomat called for "appropriate consultations" on the new ideas of the Iranian negotiating team in the sanctions talks in Vienna.
Russia's representative to international organizations based in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, posted a message on Twitter calling for "appropriate consultations" on the new ideas of the Iranian negotiating team in the Vienna talks.
The senior Russian diplomat wrote on Twitter on Friday morning:
The Vienna talks will proceed from the drafts until June 20 (the time of the end of the sixth round of talks), but Iran's new ideas must be properly consulted and thoroughly considered. This is a principle in multilateral diplomacy.
The continuation of the new round of Vienna talks to lift the oppressive and unilateral US sanctions began on Thursday, with Ali Bagheri, Iran's deputy foreign minister and Iran's chief negotiator, emphasizing talks with the P4 + 1 (Britain, France, Russia, China, plus Germany). Iran has a strong will to enter the talks and will not see any obstacles to an agreement if the necessary conditions are provided.
At the end of the Joint Commission meeting, Enrique Mora, EU Deputy Foreign Minister and Coordinator of the Joint Commission, stressed that all negotiating parties had confirmed that they would continue negotiations until an agreement was reached.
