Thursday, 9 December 2021 (YJC)_Ali Bagheri Kani praised Beijing's support for lifting the US cruel sanctions against Iran.
In a phone conversation with Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ma Zhaoxu, Iranian top negotiator and foreing deputy minister, Ali Bagheri Kani appreciated China’s suppot for lifting the US cruel sanctions against Iran.
“The request for the removal of unlawful US sanctions and also Iran’s demand for guarantees that Washington would not abandon the nuclear deal again,” were among the issues the Chinese official supported which were appreciated by Iranian top negotiator.
Bagheri Kani referred to the great collaboration between Iran and China and said these two countries have same mindset on many international issues.
He went on to talks about the draft proposed by Iran in the 7th round of Vienna talks, and said “The reaction we can expect from the other side could be their proposal to offer their own documented and well-founded views in return.”
For his part, Ma Zhaoxu urged the parties to the Vienna talks to return to the negotiating table with a constructive approach.
On Thursday afternoon it is announced that the 8th round of Vienna talks between Iran and P4+1 has started in Coburg Hotel.
“The removal of the sanctions imposed by the US on Iran after its unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal” is the main aim of the current talks.
